President Museveni appoints Hon. Haruna Kasolo as a minister!
Yesterday, my phone lit up with news that changed the course of my service to this country. H.E. President Yoweri @KagutaMuseveni had placed his trust in me, appointing me Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs.
In that moment, the weight of responsibility settled in — not as a burden, but as an honour. Uganda’s flag, our voice at the tables of the world, and the dreams of our people now rest partly on shoulders I had never imagined carrying.
I am deeply humbled. My gratitude goes to His Excellency for believing I can serve our nation at this level.
From here, my pledge is simple: I will guard Uganda’s foreign policy with care, build bridges through every diplomatic engagement, and work each day with integrity, professionalism, and a heart fully committed to our national interest.
